 Lightsavers Updates

Lightsavers consortium grows
LightSavers now has a GTA-wide consortium group of 23 members, including 10 public sector pilot site hosts and 13 manufacturers. Pilot installations run the gamut from parking lots LightSavers helps lighting managers make good choicesto building illumination, park walkways and underground garages and use LED, adaptive controls, or both. The pilot site hosts will be purchasing, installing and monitoring their equipment over the next year, and data from their pilots will be verified, summarized and made available to support other lighting asset managers in future lighting retrofit decisions. Updates on pilot progress will be made through this newsletter.

Measuring up
TAF is pleased to announce that Toronto Hydro Energy Services – Street Lighting Division will be serving as the LightSavers pilot project monitoring partner. THES-SL will advise pilot site hosts on the design of pilot site monitoring and will oversee the site measurements and data collection. THES-SL is also managing one of the largest streetlight pilot tests, called ALAMP – to read more about this fascinating study, click here.
